The Plum-Betta geyser drip tray:

PRODUCT FEATURES

Manufactured from recycled polypropylene and is mega strong,
durable and lightweight.
The only patented & designed tray with a built in sloped area below
the tray floor to ferry discharged water to the waste outlet.
South Africa’s first self levelling geyser drip tray which requires no
extra wood below or inside the tray to slope it to the outlet or level
the geyser cylinder on the inside.
Captures approximately 30% more discharged water into the tray
than conventional drip trays.
There is no 50mm waste pipe adaptor to be attached & fitted at the
outlet for the geyser drip tray, simply apply PVC weld glue to the
inside of the moulded over waste outlet and outer diameter of your
pvc waste pipe and affix together for ease of installation and fitment
of a leak proof joint.
One tray fits all four geyser cylinder sizes – 50,100,150 & 200lt.

The Plumbetta geyser drip tray has been approved & complies with
SANS 1848 Drip tray specifications and forms part of SANS 10254
geyser installation specifications.

INSTALLATION SPECIFICATION DATA

Horizontal geyser installation (roof truss mounting)

The Plumbetta geyser drip tray must be installed in the following manner:

It must be placed on the tie beams over a load-bearing wall and
supported by timber that complies with at least grade 5 SANS 1783-2
and of a size at least 114mmx50mm, spaced not more than 500mm
apart.
Simply place the Plumbetta geyser drip tray directly onto beams and
affix your 50mm waste pipe to the drip tray moulded over outlet with
PVC glue and pipe out so discharged water can flow to the outside of
the building and be in a visible position. No need to slope your geyser
tray or level the cylinder by placing wooden supports beneath and
inside the geyser drip tray. The patented fall has been designed by
means of wells beneath the base of the tray that allows for all
discharged water to be ferried to the outlet & to be discharged through
the attached waste pipe to the outside of the building.
Place your geyser cylinders on the floor of geyser tray in the specified
correct geyser size position as marked out and begin your installation
and remember to fit all vacuum breakers, drain cocks and safety
valves within the overall confines of geyser drip tray dimensions. If a
pressure reducing valve is to be installed inside the roof then the
same applies as above.
